Tremco was built in glassfiber on a Divinycell foam, using an epoxy resin and vacuum bagging. Many of the Mini Transats are all carbon, as weight saving is crucial, but in this case the budget did not permit a more high-tech construction.

"One of the other competitors has a very close shave with a freighter that night. Toma pops his head up from down below, to be staring at the bulb on the front of a ship....the spinnaker scrapes down the side of the ship and is destroyed, but his fast reactions as he leaps to the helm save the boat. This is pot luck living."
