Slot between mainsail & genoa

In light air the slot narrows up fom boom to hounds. On this boat, as on most cruising boats, the genoa sheeting angle is too wide to provide a nice, even slot. The mainsail has to be extra full down low behind the mast to compensate, and the genoa trimmed with less twist.
